The Red Crossbill population grew this year. I think the pine cone crop was large. Other species of birds did well, too. This is partly due to the reduction in humans in the park due to the pandemic stay-at-home orders. The park was closed from time-to-time. Then, park entry was limited to those with purchased reservation. Finally, the wildfires resulted in additional closures.
